There are now charges applied to the online theory exam which the club will reimburse once your results are submitted to the umpires' convener. Please have a go if you are interested in supporting your club as an umpire. We can never have enough umpires!

Umpiring allocations will be sent out via email to all umpires available for each round by the convener. Senior teams must let the convener know who ther umpire will be each week.

Please note a fine of $200 will be applied from GNA to any team (not club) who does not supply an umpire for their allocated timeslot and will not be allowed to take the court again until the fine is paid.

Amendments to rules 2016 edition

How to become a Terrigal Wamberal Netball Club umpire in 7 easy steps:
  1. Must be a registered member of Netball NSW.
  2. Download the Rule Book
  3. Sit the Rules of Netball Theory Exam, Netball Australia Online Umpire Exam Centre.
  4. Complete the Foundation Umpires Course thorugh the, Netball Australia Online Umpire Exam Centre
  5. Contact the Umpires Convener and send your results via email.
  6. Email the Umpires Convener: to advise availability and contact details..
  7. A mentor/coach will be organised for you to practise and gain experience as soon as possible.

Notes for umpiring games

1. All umpires are paid by TWNC.

2. Senior teams will supply and name their own appropriately qualified umpire/s.

3. Trainers are paid for training full games only (whether 1 or 2 training umpires on the same court) by TWNC

Umpire rates of payment, per game:

Non-award $10; White Award $15; Gosford Award $20; National C $30; National B $40; National A $50

Trainer with National badge $20; Trainer without National badge $10

All umpire's fees paid by TWNC will be paid directly into each umpire's back account on a regular basis. Please supply bank account details to the Convener.

If you wish to use umpire credits for the following season's re-registration with TWNC please let the Convener know.

All senior teams must provide an umpire each week. Allocations will be given on a team basis is up to each team to supply an umpire to meet their umpiring obligations. Please let the Convener know who in your team will be doing your team's umpiring - it is advised to have at least 4 players capable of sharing the team's responsibility throughout the season. All players in all senior teams should have an umpire's theory pass. Whatever arrangements you make for your team's umpiring allocation must be made known to the Convener as soon as possible.

Teams who source umpires that play from outside their team need to take this into consideration as well as their respective umpires accreditation when putting forth your umpires name for that weeks roster.

All senior teams and juniors 13 years + teams require up to four nominated umpires in each team who have a current theory pass.
